HOT SERVICE

Removable/reusable insulation retains the same amount of heat as conventional permanent insulation. The insulation cuts energy losses, keeps process parameters unchanged and provides personnel protection by maintaining low surface temperatures in high-traffic areas. Our specifications cover the range of temperatures from ambient up to 2300°F/1260°C.

HOT OIL SERVICE

ThermoHelp covers designed for high temperature hot oil service above 550°F/290°C are supplied with a stainless steel foil inner jacketing. This feature prevents penetration of leaking hot oil into the insulation core, thus reducing the risk of fire.

MANHOLE SERVICE

Manhole insulation typically requires special considerations due to the harsh conditions in steam distribution systems – unattended steam leaks, flooding, contamination with salt. ThermoHelp uses a unique design, which was successfully tested in the harsh conditions of hundreds of manholes, where a stainless steel sheet would corrode completely in one year. A leading North American district energy company has made this specification standard for all its steam manholes, replacing conventional permanent insulation.

FREEZE PROTECTION

ThermoHelp covers help maintain process parameters and prevent damage to equipment and instrumentation even under severe outdoors weather conditions. We custom-design our products to accommodate steam or electric heat tracing that currently exists on the equipment. As an option removable insulation covers with built-in electric tracing can be supplied.

ThermoHelp covers prevent ice build-up on refrigeration equipment, which typically has no insulation, since it must be accessible for maintenance and inspection. We have implemented insulation covers for applications at temperatures as low as –80°F/-62°C. A unique design allows us to design removable insulation covers for sub-zero temperatures, without compromising the vapor barrier.

SAFETY SHIELDS

We supply a full range of standard and custom-designed safety shields for the prevention of injury and damage in the event of chemical sprayout. Safety shields come transparent to allow visual inspection of pipe joints, or with built-in pH sensitive patch indicating the leak of an aggressive chemical.
